Wednesday, July 3, 2024
3:00 pm5:00 pm

Jennie Wade and Elizabeth Thorn are two of the most famous women associated with the Battle of Gettysburg. This exclusive tour takes visitors on a journey through both the home where Jennie Wade was killed and the famous Evergreen Cemetery Gatehouse (the Thorn home), a private residence that is rarely accessible to the general public. Your guides will include several of Gettysburg’s top historians – Tim Smith, Cindy Small, and Brian Kennell, joined by Andrew Dalton and Abbie Hoffman of the Adams County Historical Society. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience the Battle of Gettysburg through the eyes of the women of Cemetery Hill.

This program will take place at both the Jennie Wade House and Evergreen Cemetery. Tours will start every 15 minutes from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jennie Wade House. Please park in the lot between the Jennie Wade House and Gettysburg Tour Center along Baltimore St.
